It’s time for Five Minute Friday again! Five minutes of writing on a one word prompt. No editing. Just whatever comes out of our hearts. It’s amazing to see how just one word can draw out things that we’re already processing inside. The girls are joining me again as they really enjoyed it last week. They’re each working quietly at the table with a piece of paper for five minutes while I type. I’m posting my musings here at Mommynificent.com and here are my daughters’ thoughts on the word “view.”
Age 8:
View
I think of birdies in the sky.
I think of airplanes soaring up into the air.
I remember things I’ve viewed when I was little.
I think of when I see a beautiful sunrise and sunset.
I think of beautiful pictures I want to view.
I think of seeing seas and their rolling waves.
I always look around me when I think of view.
I think of snowfall and rainbows in the sky.
I remember things I see when I’m in a garden.
I think of the beauty around me.

I love that you asked your kids their view! My baby is starting to talk more and it’s so exciting!
That is a fun stage when they start talking. Enjoy every moment! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I really appreciate it!
“I think of seeing seas…”
That image really got me to thinking and imagining. Beautiful play with the words!
Loved how you included your kids thoughts.
I just read your comment to her and she’s grinning from ear to ear. Thanks for making my little girl’s day!
How precious! What beautiful views – the world through the eyes of children.
It has been really fun when we finish to read them to each other. It gives me a little glimpse of how they are seeing the world that day. Thanks for stopping by!
Well!!! You ladies just MADE MY DAY!!! I feel so honored to have you joining us for Five Minute Friday. And my goodness, but you made me realize I should get me own kids to join in too, shouldn’t I? They’re about the same age as you guys. I have a 7, 5 and 2 yr olds. Two boys and a baby girl. And can you believe they don’t even know that we do this five minute writing thing on Fridays? But I tell you what, if you guys think of a really great word this week – you ask your mom to email it to me and I’ll use it for the writing prompt next week, OK? Now you’ll have to be sure we didn’t already use it – you can see all the FMF posts over here http://lisajobaker.com/five-minute-friday/
That’s part of what makes picking a word harder and harder each week – because we’ve been doing this for a year and half now – that’s a lot of words!
So think of a good one and email it to me.
Much love to you all – you are wonderful writers,
Lisa-Jo
Oh my, Lisa-Jo! You have no idea what you’ve started here. My oldest just disappeared into a room for five minutes and came out with a list of about 100 words for you! And the 6 year old is rattling them off at the lunch table faster than I can think! We’ll be whittling them down for the foreseeable future 🙂 and emailing you soon.
Oh my heart. Now I can’t wait for my girl to be old enough to join me 🙂 The next generation of Five Minute Friday! What a blessing 🙂
Thanks, Crystal! We’ll look forward to seeing your girl’s contributions someday soon!
Oh my I love this! Thanks for sharing!
Our pleasure. Thanks for stopping by!
I absolutely LOVE this!!!! From the words to the pics…oh my! So awesome!
Thank you, Wanza!
Beautiful – both that you chose to include your children and also the views they expressed.
Thanks, Mandy!
I really need to get my daughter into blogging with me. She writes great things in her head, but has trouble getting them on paper. I’ll bet that posting on Mommy’s blog might be a great motivator for her!!
It has certainly worked wonders with my reticent writers! Good luck!
