The three girls in their new matching dresses

Here are our thoughts on the word “Listen,” today’s Five Minute Friday prompt.

2 year old, as dictated with picture following:

I have to say what she has to say to me, and I have to obey my mom. I love you, mom. I think you’re very awesome. You are very awesome too. I know that I really love.

6 year old, as dictated with picture following:

Listen

I listen to the birds sing. Chirp, chirp. And the elephant and the rooster.

Middlenificent's thoughts on the word listen

8 year old, as dictated with picture of page one following. She’s getting better and better at this and filled a page and a half today!

Listen

I have been listening to my two year old sister singing “Do you see what I see? Do you hear what I hear?”
Doesn’t the Bible say something about being quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry?
I am hearing a lot of songs in my head including “Jesus Loves Me” and “Twinkle, Twinkle,” “Oh, When the Saints Go Marching In” and more.
I listen to waves crashing in my head and bees buzzing.
I hear music notes and scratching pens on paper.
When I listen, I hear computer keys clicking, people singing, when I listen.
What do you hear?
And STOP.

  1. I love the dresses! Where did you find some in all sizes! Wow.

You all did very well on the word “Listen”. Bet you hear that word a lot throughout your day! It’s so important that we use our ears for good listening. Listening is one way words enter our head…so I pray for all of you to “listen to the good words said to you and let them make your heart smile as you go about your activities each day!”

Keep up the good work. I enjoy popping in and visiting through your “FIVE-Minutes FRIDAY” conversations. Loving it as I hear your personalities in your lists!
