Hi! I hope everyone had a good week! Ours has been really busy, but quite good. Today’s word prompt for Five Minute Friday is “present.”
Maisy, age 3, brought me this paper and said, “This is a present for my baby brother. It’s a picture of him.”
The older two wanted to try typing theirs today, so here’s what they have to say:
Mariana, age 6:
Present to Give and Present to get Presents to Give and to get. do make me a Present.
sing a special Present song . hats can be Present to. here’s a poem I made up :Present Present 900 for me and 8900 for you
AND STOP
Maggie, age 8:
Present means lots of things. Present is something you give somebody that’s wrapped in fancy paper with a ribbon. You get presents on your birthday. Present is when your teacher at school does roll call and your name is called you say present. Presents are fun toys or books or pencils and pens. I love presents.
AND STOP
And finally from their mom, I wanted to leave off with my favorite picture of Mariana opening a present. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the unbridled joy of this moment.
Have a joy-filled week!

So glad, Denise!
