Maggie's contribution to Five Minute Friday

One of my favorite books is The Adventures of the Kerrigan Kids, Kangaroos & the Outback. [Editor’s note: find it at Amazon here]  This book in no. 3 in a series.  The story takes place in Australia.  Today’s Five Minute Friday word reminded me of a tongue twister on page 13.

“A tree toad loved a she-toad who lived up in a tree.
She was a three-toed tree toad but a two-toed toad was he.
The two-toed toad tried to win the she toad’s friendly nod,
For the two-toed toad loved the ground on which the three-toed toad trod.
But no matter how the two-toed tree toad tried,
He could not please her whim.
In her tree-toad bower
with her three power
The she-toad vetoed him.”

Say it three times fast.  Go!

Daddy’s note

I am really impressed with Maggie for coming up with this one.  She did not reference the book at all when she wrote it down.  She’s got it all in her head.  Quite the gal.
