Hopefully, you enjoyed the cut and paste calendar for January! This month I’ve got some heart pieces for you!
Like last month, I’ve made calendar pieces with hearts and numbers for Littlenificent to use and calendar pieces with just hearts for Middle so that she can practice writing her numbers. I also made a blank sheet just in case anyone feels particularly creative and wants to make their own pieces. They could do that everyday or just for holidays and birthdays. (Here’s a fun page full of bizarre holidays in February. You could have a lot of fun making calendar pieces for these!)
I understand that hearts are a little trite for February, but sometimes with little ones, they want what seems trite to us. After all, they haven’t had 30 years of hearts in February. So, please don’t dismiss this summarily – it really is what my kids wanted and yours may too. However, if you’re looking for more excitement and/or variety, there are some beautiful calendar pieces available for free here. It shouldn’t be too much trouble, though I haven’t yet tried printing them sized for my calendar base, which you can download here if you need it.
I think because our lives have been rather hectic lately, my kids are crazing some routine, so they asked me to make the pieces all hearts and all one color. They weren’t interested in having a different picture each day or even a pattern to follow, but maybe once things are a little more sane around here, we’ll move that way.
What about you? Would you like me to do some patterns or specific themes in future months? Please let me know if you have ideas. I’ll see what I can do!
Here are the pieces for this month. It is a three page pdf document that you can download and save after you right-click on it. Enjoy!
